Study on color change of synthetic type Ib diamond crystals treated by high temperature and high pressure annealing

摘要: 以国产六面顶压机对人工合成的Ib型金刚石大单晶进行高温高压退火处理,使用傅里叶变换红外光度计、光谱辐射度计对实验前后的样品进行分析。实验发现:在高温高压退火条件下,伴随着金刚石中孤立氮原子的聚合,最初的Ib型金刚石单晶经历了颜色先加深再褪去的变化过程,直至变成接近无色的Ia型金刚石单晶。Abstract: Type Ib diamond crystals, synthesized by using temperature gradient method, were treated by high temperature and high pressure annealing through domestic cubic press, then the samples were tested by colorimeter, and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer.It was found that under the condition of high temperature and high pressure, accompanying by the aggregation of nitrogen atoms, the initial type Ib diamond crystal had experienced a process of color change, which became darker at first, and then faded gradually, until it turned to a colorless type Ia diamond single crystal.
